A storybook soundtrack for the fields and woodlands of Bucks County, Pennsylvania; Inspired by Blake, Whitman, Tolkien, Goethe, and others. Recorded throughout the spring of 2005 in candlelit bouts of inspiration, in my bedroom at my parents house :-)

This is the first set of songs I wrote, and it was a few years after this that the bug for traditional folk really took hold of me. In other words, I came at these songs with no real grounding or background in acoustic music. My primary inspirations were poets, as I mentioned above. The result is a droney kind of folk, which I hope the pastoral melancholy of the lyrics adds to. The song O War Machine was later recorded in a heavier electric setting on the Worried Land LP by my former band Meddlesome Bells.
